At the Most Great Jubilee in London in 1963, a hundred years after Bahá'u'lláh's Declaration, Rúḥíyyih Khánum was overcome while speaking of Shoghi Effendi's last summer. Alláh-u-Abhá was sung in the Royal Albert Hall until she was able to go on.
The Báb wrote that at Máh-Kú He had not even a lighted lamp at night. 'Abdu'l-Bahá wept over this at His Shrine and said He would light it with one hundred electric lamps. In 1922, after the Master's passing, the lights installed by Curtis Kelsey came on together.
