No Taxes in the Kingdom of God

On 13 April 1912 ‘Abdu’l-Bahá spoke at the home of Marjorie Morten in New York. After the meeting, worn out, He went upstairs to rest, but people kept streaming toward His room. Juliet Thompson recorded what followed.

“Tell them,” laughed the Master (that wonderful spicy humour in His face) “to come into the Kingdom of God. There they will find plenty of land and there are no taxes on it.”
